Metal detection plaster

The Innovation award of Brrodway 2006 went to the company MExT from Roeselare, Belgium.

They won the award with their new Hydroskin Metaldetect plaster. It is a bright blue, aerated, 100% waterproof plaster. The plaster will stay stuck, even after a hard day with your hands in water, floar and oil.

MExt worked 3 years on this new plaster. The core of the product is a hydrogel. It is a gel which helps the healing process.

The plaster has a blue colour so that it is easily spotted if it accidentaly falls into food products.
For this reason their is also a flexible aluminium strip in the plaster. The plaster is then also traceable with a metal detector.
