Mercedes-Benz has taken auto safety a step farther with its pink noise system, which will protect passengers from the dangerously high decibels of the crash.
Part of the company’s Pre-Safe system, the pink noise technology relies on the car’s stereo system, which will emit a “short interference signal” just before a predicted collision. This pink noise signal (a combination of all possible tones) will stimulate the ear’s stapedius muscle and cause it to contract, protecting the delicate ear drum and inner ear.
