Shoes Defy Gravity

The MoonWalker shoes from the startup Moonshine Crea promise to give the wearer the sensation of walking in a low gravity environment.

According to the company, the thick soles of the MoonWalkers are equipped with powerful N45 magnets oriented with their north poles facing. This causes the magnets to repel each other and create the sensation of “floating like an astronaut” when the wearer takes a step. The shoes also feature an e-ink display that allows the wearer to personalize the design, and can even be connected to social media.
