DNA-based protection

The biotech company November uses synthetic DNA of short molecules for encryption purposes. Just like the natural biological model, the synthetic DNA provides trillions of diferent combinations, making it virtually impossible to duplicate.

Together with Siemens, the company developed the self-sticking labels and reading apparatus (MOBY B Scanner D).
The reader tests if the label is the original and if it has not been altered. After that, a DNA marking pen activates the label and the reader can read the contents of the label and check the authenticity.
