Radar-activated speed bumps
Speed bumps do a good job of penalizing non-speeders as much asspeeders, and they typically force drivers to travel well below thespeed limit. With that in mind, inventor Gwyn Harvey came up with aradar-activated speed bump design that would only deploy to drivers traveling at an unreasonable speed. The so-called 'SelectiveRoad Humps' would likely cost a great deal more than regular speedhumps, but could theoretically be justified in busy subdivisions andresidential areas.
