This is a game called Knokkers, and yes, I realize that sounds like a vulgar name for certain female body parts, but I want you to put that out of your mind.
Completely out of your mind. Now, put into your mind some very manly sports of bowling and pool. Knokkers is the combination of those sports, and you’re looking at it here.
Knokkers doesn’t use a cue, but it has all the balls of regular 8-ball pool, but they are the size and weight of six-pound bowling balls. The “table” that you see here is made for the ground, and is about four times larger in area.
As said before, the only cue here is the player, and you can pick up and move the cue ball. Of course, the player cannot move his or her feet once the ball has been touched.
It is designed by Steve Wienecke, a former semi-pro football player and cage fighter, and this was built in the athlete’s backyard in Fredericktown, Missouri with railroad ties, gravel, and concrete.
