Raincatcher Coat

The Raincatch raincoat does more that protect the wearer from the rain- it also purifies the water with charcoal and chemical filters.

Created by a pair of designers from the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design, the water filters and storage containers are hidden in the coat while the tubes are left visible to enhance the aesthetics. The collar of the Raincatch collects the rainwater, which is then passed through the filters at the back of the coat and stored in the hip.
