Botl filter

At the heart of the Botl Filter is its replaceable and fully biodegradable bag of coconut shell activated carbon. Much like a tea bag, that component gets inserted inside a reusable, stainless steel case. Then, users need only drop the combined Botl Filter device into any bottle of drinking water and shake for fresher taste; no presoaking is required. The device removes organic contaminants and meets NSF Standard 42 for chlorine, taste and odor reduction, its Canadian maker says, but it's not intended to purify water that's unsafe. Each bag lasts long enough for between one and three days worth of drinking; after that time, users can compost the old one and insert a fresh bag.
