Thanks to a revolutionary take on the traditional plaster cast, this itchy waiting game may soon be coming to an end.

Designed by Brazilian Pedro Nakazato Andrade, "Bones" is an orthopedic cast that uses embedded electromyographic (EMG) sensors to monitor in real time a patient's muscle-activity and then suggest exercises that one can do to speed up the recovery process.
