Pillowy Antibacterial Polymers
A new study by MIT researchers demonstrates that bacteria adhere poorlyto soft surfaces and stick to firm ones. The findings challengeconventional wisdom and could hold the key to creating betterantibacterial coatings. The researchers have also created soft polymerfilms that might serve as antibacterial coatings for medical devicesand other objects on which harmful bacteria congregate.
