Filterbrella

Water might soon be the resource that the world goes to war for instead of oil, so it makes perfect sense for us to pull all the necessary plugs in order to prevent water wastage. The Filterbrella concept from designer Andrew Leinonen is one of the ways where water can be saved - this canopy constructed from compostable polylactic acid plastic blends features an innovative activated carbon filter in its hollow rod that will let rain water run through, purifying it in the process. The purified water will then flow and remain stored in a bottle that is hooked to the Filterbrella's handle, providing you with instant drinking water whenever it pours.
