The firm Dymax, a specialist in the field of adhesives and coatingsthat polymerize under UV, developed "Ultra-Red"-glueing. Theseadhesives remain transparent until such time when they are exposed toUV (360-380 nm): then they exhibit a red fluorescence. This colorcontrasts strongly with the plastics, which are generally naturallyfluorescent blue. That contrast makes an accurate, visual inspection ofthe seam.
