The US news channel MSNBC has launched a website, that includes an online game based on the classic arcade game Breakout.This is not such a big deal, but recently the audiences of cinemas inthe US have been able to play this game as a giant collectivelycontrolled game.
The game itself is quite simple. The playerscontrols a paddle, and must use it to keep a ball from dropping to thebottom of the screen. The ball can be used to smash layers of bricksthat will release news headlines based on RSS feeds. A motion sensor inthe cinema observes the audience, allowing them to control the paddlein the game by swaying from side to side.
