More windows is something every urban dweller wants, but in the summersall that sunlight can make your place sweltering. Double-glazed windowsdo a decent job of insulation, but researchers at the PolytechnicUniversity in Madrid have done them one better with Intelliglass. Thespecial windows feature a layer of circulating water sandwiched betweenthe glass that absorbs heat, reducing a/c bills by an estimated 70%.
