Paper-bottle Molding Technology

Packaging is an important part of Kao's products. Keeping product usability and environmental conservation in mind, we developed the world's first paper-bottle molding technology to recycle pulp as a replacement for plastics, a limited resource.

Through paper-making and dehydrating waste paper slurry in a mold, paper bottles achieve the same compression strength as plastic bottles. Unlike the conventional manufacturing process to make milk cartons, this technology enables the production of paper bottles in various shapes, including hollow, spout, and nozzle forms. After use, the bottles can be disposed of as waste paper. When separated collection is introduced, they will be recycled into raw materials.
