Senjo

The wearable machine, which is still in concept form, aims to allow the deaf to communicate with hearing people. It works by recording visual sign language using cameras and sensors, which are then converted into spoken language. To convert spoken language into sign language, Senjo uses speech recognition. The words are made into visual signs that are projected onto the deaf person's head-mounted display. Senjo stretches current technological capabilities to take it to the fringes of the possible, says Peter Gammack, concept design director for Dyson.
